Sometimes a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dr-rudolf.at\/en\/prophylaxis\/\">dental hygiene session<\/a> (<strong>professional teeth cleaning<\/strong>) to remove superficial discoloration is also useful. Now impressions of your teeth are taken for the production of bleaching trays.  <\/li>\n<li>Appointment: The individually manufactured bleaching trays are handed over. You will receive precise instructions on how to use them overnight. <\/li>\n<li>Appointment: After the desired tooth color has been achieved, a follow-up examination takes place. If necessary, appointments can be made to adapt old discolored fillings or crowns to the new tooth color. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Even individual teeth discolored by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dr-rudolf.at\/en\/treatment\/root-canal-treatment-with-modern-technology\/\">root canal treatment<\/a><\/strong> can be lightened.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>If teeth whitening alone is not sufficient, for example due to damaged tooth substance, many fillings in the front teeth or an inharmonious tooth position, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dr-rudolf.at\/en\/treatment\/esthetic-dentistry\/veneers\/\">ceramic veneers<\/a> are also an option to restore a harmonious smile.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator style=&#8221;shadow&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1521582604063{padding-top: 20px !important;padding-bottom: 20px !important;}&#8221;]<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\">Bleaching Methoden<\/h3>[vc_tta_accordion active_section=&#8221;1&#8243; collapsible_all=&#8221;true&#8221;][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;Home Bleaching: Whitening in your sleep&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;1450632731563-7d683439-a801&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In this procedure, precisely fitting, transparent <strong>plastic trays<\/strong> are produced by the dental technician.<\/li>\n<li>These are filled by the patient themselves with a special bleaching gel and worn <strong>at night<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The patient can choose the <strong>degree of whitening<\/strong> <strong>themselves<\/strong> and interrupt the treatment at any time.<\/li>\n<li>During the treatment, strongly coloring foods (coffee, tea, cola&#8230;) should be avoided.<\/li>\n<li>Due to the relatively low-dosed bleaching gel, this variant is to be regarded as <strong>very gentle<\/strong> when used correctly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;3770&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221;][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;Whitening of root canal treated teeth&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;1450632877628-3cc0f7be-03bc&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A <strong>gray-black discoloration<\/strong> of the inside of the tooth is often the result of root canal treatment, because small amounts of blood enter the tooth.<\/li>\n<li>Procedure: The <strong>bleaching agent is placed inside the tooth<\/strong> and remains there for 1 &#8211; 2 days. In the meantime, the patient can walk around with the tooth to be bleached (&#8220;walking bleach&#8221;). Once the desired tooth color has been achieved, the gel is removed and the tooth is tightly sealed again.  <\/li>\n<li>It is important that the <strong>root canal treatment is absolutely tight<\/strong> &#8211; this is <strong>checked<\/strong> beforehand.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;3790&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221;][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;Office Bleaching: in the practice&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;1450632731478-72c185ae-dd77&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The treatment takes place directly <strong>in the practice<\/strong>, possibly also with the use of special bleaching lamps.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The risk of side effects (hypersensitivity, surface changes to the tooth enamel) is higher due to the use of more intensely dosed bleaching substances and bleaching lamps. Ist Bleaching sch\u00e4dlich?<\/p>\n\t      <div class=\"arrow\"><\/div>\n\t    <\/div>\n\t    <div class=\"a\">\n\t      <span class=\"lbl\">A :<\/span>\n\t      <p>Nein, bei Anwendung auf gesunden Z\u00e4hnen ist medizinisches Bleaching sicher und wissenschaftlich gut dokumentiert.<\/p>\n<p>Zus\u00e4tzlich erhalten Bleaching-Produkte, die in unserer Ordination zur Anwendung kommen, Kaliumnitrat und Fluorid (PF). Diese bewirken eine Remineralisation des Zahnschmelzes w\u00e4hrend des Bleaching-Vorgangs.<\/p>\n<p>Dennoch gilt es zu beachten, dass undichte Kronenr\u00e4nder, alte undichte F\u00fcllungen oder Risse im Zahnschmelz ein erh\u00f6htes Eindringen des Bleaching-Gels f\u00f6rdern k\u00f6nnen und der Zahnnerv gereizt werden kann. Carbamidperoxid. Je nach Methode (Office-Bleaching oder Home-Bleaching) wird dieses unterschiedlich dosiert. Durch eine chemische Reaktion werden Sauerstoff-Radikale gebildet, welche Farbpartikel im Schmelz entf\u00e4rben.
