A ceramic implant consists of zirconium oxide, a high-strength material that is also used for dental crowns.In the case of so-called titanium intolerance, which can be determined by means of an allergy test, ordinary titanium dental implants are also contraindicated. However, a completely metal-free ceramic dental prosthesis is possible these days. <\/p>\n

The advantages can be seen in a special biocompatibility through the use of the material zirconium oxide. Also, in the case of front teeth, the gums cannot appear dark due to the white color of the ceramic implant, as is sometimes the case with titanium implants. Furthermore, the risk of inflammation around the implant is reduced, as bacteria are less able to adhere. <\/p>\n

When choosing the implant system, we rely exclusively on an established manufacturer – “Swiss made”. Its innovative two-piece implant system is particularly future-proof. <\/p>\n

Ceramic Implant Procedure:<\/h3>\n

Usually the procedure is as follows:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Following a consultation, a 3D X-ray<\/a> is created.<\/li>\n
  2. The implantation and, if necessary, a bone augmentation<\/a> are planned with computer assistance, and the procedure and any questions are discussed with you.<\/li>\n
  3. The implantation takes place under local anesthesia and, depending on the number of implants including preparation and follow-up, takes approximately 30 minutes to 2 hours.
    \nFor the days after the operation, you will be prescribed a pain reliever and, if necessary, an antibiotic. <\/li>\n
  4. After about 1-2 weeks, a follow-up examination and suture removal take place.<\/li>\n
  5. After a healing period of 3-6 months, a scan<\/a> of the dental implant \/ dental implants is performed.<\/li>\n
  6. The individually manufactured dental crown(s) in our own ceramic laboratory will be inserted after 1-7 days.
    \nFor complete dentures, e.g. on 4-6 implants, approx. 3 appointments are required with 1 week interval each.<\/li>\n
  7. Check-up appointments will be arranged.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
